I am thrilled and proud to be a member of the EriePK-8 Leadership Team. It is an honor to be part of such an amazing community. I am passionate about education and look forward to partnering with you to provide a safe and caring environment that fosters learning, achievement and creativity.
I began my educational career 21 years ago when I moved to Denver to pursue a Masters in Instruction and Curriculum with an emphasis in Special Ed. Since then I have returned to Grad school twice, once for a Reading Endorsement and the last time for an Administration License and a degree in Administration and Policy Studies. One of my biggest educational accomplishments has been becoming a National Board Certified teacher. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade as a classroom teacher in addition, I’ve also been a Reading Specialist. Following my teaching years, I served as an instructional coach for two years before taking an AP job this past year.
I have been married for thirteen years and am blessed to have two amazing children. My daughter is ten and my son is six. Like most people who live in Colorado, we love the outdoors and spend our weekends biking, skiing, hiking, etc. We also love to travel, explore new places and learn about different cultures and people.
For me, the first day of school can’t get here fast enough as I am very eager to get to know all of you and your amazing children. I believe that one of the most important aspects of my work as an educator is building meaningful relationships with students, families and colleagues as well as with the greater community.
