Leslie Ross

Hello Soaring Heights families,

My name is Leslie Ross, and I am the MS Art teacher.  I am very excited and honored to join the Soaring Heights and share my experience and skills with you.  I received a BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Secondary Education from the University of Texas, Arlington and I am currently working toward a M.S. in Psychology.

I have two young adult sons, and 2 cats. Someday soon, I hope to have a big dog again (Labs are my fave!). I love to hike, camp, swim, read, and of course make art!

Art has been part of my life since I was very young, and I began my freelance career while still in high school. My most recent commission is a custom design on the hood of a Jeep.  Painting on all kinds of surfaces in different types of paint is my favorite way to create art, but it’s not the only way. I thoroughly enjoy working in all kinds of media and experimenting with new ideas.

I feel very blessed to be at Soaring Heights with its neuroscience focus, because I love Science.  I am especially interested in Neurology, Biology, Life Science, Geology, and Quantum Physics. Learning about how things work independently and as a part of a system is really interesting to me.   I am looking forward to working with you all, and hope I am able to inspire the lifelong love of learning and art that I have found so fulfilling in my life.
