Middle School Elective: Spanish

I am from Venezuela, the country with the highest waterfall in the world, where the grandpa in the movie “Up” moved his house with balloons. I love travelling and I have been in many beautiful and different countries. Finally, I have settled in Colorado under the feet of the Rocky Mountains. My husband, two boys, two dogs and I live in Wellington.   My older daughters live in Florida and in Argentina, the “tango” country.  I love the languages and the cultures around them. Also, I love reading, dancing, walking and learning.  During this pandemic quarantine I started learning Italian and falling in love with the Italian music and gestures.

I began my teaching career by teaching History and Spanish to German and Portuguese students, and after fourteen years I moved to Africa to introduce the Spanish and their culture to amazing teens in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. A new opportunity brought me to the United States to continue teaching the beauty of my native language. I am eager to join the Soaring Heights community and start the new adventure of introducing your students to the wonderful world of the Spanish language.
