Soaring Heights Important Building Information

Hello Soaring Heights Families,

We are incredibly excited to have students back in the building starting on October 5.  While things may look a little different when children arrive, we are still going to be able to engage in a robust in-person learning environment and have some fun. To this end, please make sure to review this  In-Person Learning Video as it contains an important message from Superintendent, Dr. Haddad and specific information about what students and parents can expect when coming back to Soaring Heights.

By the end of the week you will also receive a Back to School video from your child’s teacher (or teachers) with more information specific to the routines and procedures of the classroom.

As part of Safe with 7, it is imperative for parents to check their child’s temperature before coming to school every day and make sure their child is wearing a mask. We will be doing some temperature checks at school in the event that a child appears to be ill or did not check their temperature at home.

If you did not receive an email Friday, September 25 with your child’s assigned hybrid group (group 1 or 2) please contact the front office for assistance.

Please make sure to sign-up for parent teacher conferences.  This will be an opportunity to review your child’s academic progress, establish learning goals, and ask any questions you may have. The link will be in the parent newsletter this week.

We are asking for parents to drop off any medication students will need, daily or for emergencies, this Friday, October 2.  We will have a drive through kiosk set up outside similar to material distribution. Prior to dropping medication off please check the following items:

  • Complete your student’s IHP/PTM if it has not been provided to the Soaring Heights health office this academic year 2020-2021

  • Make sure the IHP has a signature with date from the parent and doctor

  • Make sure the medication is in the original packaging

  • Check the expiration date on the medication

If you have questions about this process please contact the health office: [email protected]

I truly appreciate your support and partnership as we navigate the start of in-person learning. I am constantly impressed and warmed by the compassion of our community to support one another. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need help with anything.

Best wishes,
