I am excited to join Soaring Heights as a third grade teacher! It was when I was a third grader that I decided I wanted to become a teacher. I aim to foster a love of learning in my students in the same way that Mrs. Johnson, my hero and third grade teacher, did for me! I integrate science, social studies, technology, and the arts as much as possible into my classroom.

I have been teaching since 2007. I received my Elementary Teaching Certification and Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Anthropology from CU Boulder, and have a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Regis University. I was also fortunate enough to sail around the world on Semester at Sea through the University of Pittsburgh in 2005.

When I’m not at school, I am probably spending time getting messy with my two young children and my husband. We enjoy gardening, crafting, painting, baking, and going on adventures.
