Bio

I am so excited to join the Soaring Heights community as a middle school science teacher. This year I will be teaching 6th grade science and 2 sections of robotics. I love learning new things and hope to instill this passion in my students. I received a BA in Elementary Education from Aurora University, IL. I am endorsed to teach middle school science, social studies and language arts. I taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade science in IL at Carpentersville Middle School. My husband and I then moved to Colorado in 2019 with one of our sons and our daughter. I was fortunate to teach at Fort Morgan High School as a 9th grade science teacher. I enjoyed teaching at the high school level, but I feel middle school is my passion. When not in school, I love spending time with my family back in IL. I have 3 sons and a daughter. All three of my sons live and work in Illinois. My daughter lives with us while attending CU Denver as an undergrad in bioengineering. I have been enjoying exploring Colorado with my husband and daughter when we have the time. I also love to read, swim and watch movies.
