Bio

I am so excited to be a part of the Soaring Heights fourth grade team! After getting my bachelors degree at Colorado State (go Rams!) and my Masters degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado, I taught in San Francisco for six years. I taught second and fourth grade and was honored to be Teacher of the Year in 2019. I aim to foster a welcoming and inspiring learning environment that encourages every kid to reach their potential and beyond. I love incorporating art and movement into the classroom and prioritize social-emotional well-being and making learning fun. I was born and raised in Colorado and am so happy to be back by the mountains! When I’m not teaching, you can find me hiking, baking, watching the Broncos, playing in the snow, or hanging out with my yellow lab, Tessa, fat cat, Honu, and new silly puppy, Pete. I can’t wait to have all kinds of adventures in learning with the kids of Soaring Heights this year!
