I am excited to join Soaring Heights and contribute to the amazing work being done with students. I am entering my 11th year teaching. I spent four years as a Library Technology Specialist (K-8), one year teaching 2nd grade, and the last five years teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies. I received my Bachelor's degree in History with a Political Science minor from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2013 I received my Master's in Education from Regis University. I believe success in the classroom begins with strong student-teacher relationships. Establishing trust and respect will allow us to explore learning in various fun and exciting ways. We will immerse ourselves in the past to understand where we have been and where we are going.

 

I have been married for 21 years and have three amazing children. My two girls are in university and my son will be a sophomore. We love to travel as a family and have been fortunate enough to spend time across Europe and the United States. In addition to traveling I have a passion for reading, working on anything creative, and spending downtime with my family.
