Bio

My name is Kelly Kurz.  I have had the privilege of working in St. Vrain Valley School District as a counselor since 2007 in both a K-8 setting and a middle school setting.   Prior to working in the school system, I worked as a hospice social worker providing support to patients and families.  Kids are amazingly resilient and I enjoy being a part of their journeys and helping them strive for their personal best. I am thrilled to be working in the community I was raised in.  My husband and I are both Erie natives and are raising our two high school daughters here as well.  I love reading, being outdoors as much as possible and enjoy getting my hands dirty in the garden.  I am excited to be partnering with this community to continue to provide quality education and care for our students.  I look forward to meeting students and parents as we begin this new adventure.
