I believe meaningful learning begins with connection, trust, and high expectations, and I strive to create an environment where every student can thrive. I have dedicated more than 30 years to public education, including over 25 years with St. Vrain Valley Schools. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, along with teaching licensure in Elementary Education and Special Education, from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York, and later completed a Master's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading from SUNY Geneseo. I also earned my Principal License through Colorado State University. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, instructional and professional development coach, and Dean of Students, working with learners from kindergarten through ninth grade as well as adult educators. These experiences have reinforced my belief that collaboration, curiosity, and a supportive learning community help every learner reach their full potential. Outside of school, you'll often find me spending time with family and friends, traveling, getting lost in a good book, or enjoying a creative crafting project.
