Brian Stevens will be on sabbatical for the 2025-2026 school year. He will be returning to teach at Soaring Heights for the 2026-2027 school year. 

I am very excited to be joining the Soaring Heights community as a middle school science teacher this year!  I've always had a love for science and the natural world, and look forward to sharing that passion with my students. 

I received my bachelors degree in geology from Hofstra University in New York, and my masters in secondary science education from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  After graduating, I taught for 3 years at Imagine Charter school in Firestone, CO, and then for 5 years in the Mapleton Public School District in Westminster, CO.

When not at school, I love doing anything outdoors!  You can usually find me rock climbing at any of the hundreds of climbing areas throughout the Front Range, trail running somewhere in the mountains, or skiing in Rocky Mountain National Park.  When I get tired, I love to sit down with a good book - usually something by Stephen King!

I'm also a musician of 20+ years, with my expertise being the guitar and bass.  I love to listen and talk about all kinds of music, as well as go to live concerts whenever possible.
