I am a native of Kansas, but several years ago, I clicked my heels and ventured to the majestic mountain state of Colorado. Here, I am thrilled to serve as the Dean of Students, a role that allows me to focus on creating a supportive and enriching environment for all learners. My mission is to inspire and cultivate growth in each student, helping them thrive in a vibrant and inclusive setting.

Over the course of several decades, I have had the privilege of being a classroom teacher across various levels of education, from 4th and 5th grade to middle school, high school, and even college. Each of these experiences has enriched my understanding of the diverse needs and potentials of students at different stages of their educational journey.

My academic background is a testament to my commitment to education and lifelong learning. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor in Biology, and a Master’s Degree in School Leadership. This blend of knowledge equips me to approach education with a holistic and informed perspective.

Coming from a family of educators, my passion is deeply rooted in engaging learners and supporting their growth academically, emotionally, and socially. I believe in nurturing a compassionate and creative environment where students feel empowered to explore and express themselves.

Outside of school, I cherish spending quality time with my husband, our six children, and our dogs. We love embracing the natural beauty of Colorado through hiking, camping, and traveling. Our backyard fire pit is a favorite spot for family gatherings. Additionally, we are passionate about volunteering as ski and bike patrollers at Winter Park on weekends, combining our love for the outdoors with community service.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with you this year. Each student holds a special place in my heart, and I consider them part of my extended family. I am eager to get to know each of you and look forward to an exciting and rewarding year together!
