It is a pleasure to be part of the Soaring Heights PK-8 staff! I am honored to work with an incredibly dedicated and caring Kindergarten team!

I was born and raised in Wyoming. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Montana and my Masters of Education in Reading Instruction from Clemson University. My experience in education has included cardiac patient education, 5th grade classroom teacher and District Education Manager at Sylvan Learning Center. After staying home with my two children for 10 years, I returned to the education field as a paraprofessional and have enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside amazing teachers, share my love of teaching with young children and strike a work/life balance.

My family and I moved to Erie after my husband retired from serving 20 years in the U.S. Army. Our military experience provided opportunities to live and travel abroad, meet lifelong friends and provide our two children with uncomparable life and cultural experiences and now we are happy to call Erie, CO our home!

When not at school, I enjoy running, gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with my two children, Ava and Jack and my husband, Jim. We enjoy traveling, soccer (both kids play competitively and for their High School team), time outdoors and just being together!
