I am so excited to be a part of the Soaring Heights 5th grade team! I love working with students, parents, and the wonderful support staff at Soaring Heights.

I was born in Canada, and lived in a handful of states before landing in CO where I finished high school. I then earned my first Bachelor's degree from CU Boulder, in International Affairs. Adventure called after college, so I moved to Alaska! When I wasn’t hiking, biking, fishing, or immersing myself in the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, I earned my second BA in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska in Anchorage, and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from American College of Education. I have over 17 years of experience in Kinder, 6th, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade classrooms. I am passionate about helping every student get excited about reading, and I absolutely love hands-on science lessons. I am also a certified yoga teacher, and lead an after-school yoga club at Soaring Heights.

My interests outside of school include working on my yoga skills, hiking the beautiful CO mountain trails, paddleboarding with friends, reading historical fiction, playing with my Corgi puppy, and watching Formula 1 races and CO team sports with my husband.
