Welcome to Soaring Heights! We have an incredible Special Education Resource team and I'm so proud to be part of it! I have been teaching students with different needs for more than 20 years, and am in my 16th year of being a Special Education teacher in Colorado. I am certified to teach Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Special Education K-12 through Black Hills State University. I also have a Masters in School Counseling from South Dakota State University. I was born and raised in a small town on the western side of South Dakota, and that is where my extended family still lives. My husband, Chase, also works for the St. Vrain Valley School District and we have two boys, Brekkin and Dekker, who are also proud Soaring Heights Eagles! Our dog, Mowgli, is becoming a bit of a rascal as he ages and his hijinks keep us on our toes. When I’m not teaching I enjoy running, reading, and spending as much time playing and having fun with my family as I can!
