Bio

I am excited to join the Soaring Heights community!  I've been an elementary teacher in four states (Kentucky, Colorado, Oregon, and Virginia) and I feel fortunate to be back in my happy place.  I earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in Elementary Education and a Master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  I love working with students and I believe it's important to celebrate their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Outside of school, I enjoy walking, visiting National Parks, and playing board games with my family.  My children are both grown and living in different states now, but they share our enthusiasm for National Parks and join us for trips whenever possible.
