I am so excited to be teaching at Soaring Heights again this year! I have always had a deep passion for science and love sharing that enthusiasm with my students. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Science with a minor in Spanish and spent two years working in the field of gene therapy before becoming a teacher. I later earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which has helped me combine my love of science with my passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for students.

One of my favorite things about teaching science is seeing students become genuinely curious about the world around them. I love when a simple question turns into an investigation, a surprising discovery, or a whole class of new questions! My goal is to bring my real-world science experience into the classroom while creating a space where students feel comfortable being curious, making mistakes, asking questions, and figuring things out for themselves.

I hope my students leave my classroom not only knowing more science, but also seeing science as something exciting, relevant, and fun. I want to help them discover that there is always more to wonder about, and hopefully inspire them to keep asking questions long after they leave my classroom!
