What an extraordinary opportunity it is to be a part of the Soaring Heights community. I have been in both formal and informal education since the mid - 1990’s. I have a B.A. in Biology and Religion, a M.A. in Biological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Biological Education. During my graduate work I was a National Science Foundation Fellow and conducted research in the Short Grass Steppe of Northern Colorado and the Wind Caves of South Dakota. At the same time I worked alongside K-12 classroom teachers to better integrate the field of science into all content areas.
I have taught Kindergarten to graduate level classes and through these experiences I have learned that communication and collaboration are key to a successful team and community. I am grateful to be a part of a school where we celebrate teamwork, science, and a strong community as foundational to the learning process.
I look forward to meeting each of our families and being a part of the learning community here in Erie, Colorado.
