I am a native of Kansas but clicked my heels three years ago and moved to the great state of Colorado. This will be my fourth year teaching fifth grade in Colorado, and my 21st year in education. I have taught fourth grade for three years, fifth grade for six years, middle school and high school for nine years, and was an Assistant Professor of Education for two. I have a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor in Biology, and a Master’s Degree in School Leadership.
I am a lifelong learner, who comes from a family of educators. My passion is in engaging and helping learners grow academically, emotionally, and socially, in a compassionate and creative environment.
When not at school, I love spending time with my husband, our six children, and our dogs. We enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, hanging out in the backyard by the fire pit, and volunteering as ski and bike patrollers at Winter Park on the weekends.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with you this year. I consider each student as a family member and cannot wait to get to know you this year!
