This is my 5th year at Soaring Heights PK-8 as the literacy teacher. I have my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Early Literacy from Regis, and I am a certified Orton Gillingham instructor. I have taught early childhood and primary students in the classroom, and I have taught literacy at both the elementary and middle school levels. I am also an Acadience Reading Mentor, training numerous St. Vrain educators in that assessment, along with supporting the science of reading in our district.
I live in Erie, CO with my very supportive husband of 20 years, Alex, and 4 amazing children. Ian is attending Turing University, Mackenzie is a senior at Erie High School, Kirsten is a sophomore and Lyndsey (8th grade) is at Soaring Heights.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, hiking, hanging out with my family, cooking/ baking, and walking our dog, Apollo.
I enjoy collaborating with Soaring Heights families, colleagues and the community to create a welcoming and positive school climate nurturing the whole child.
