Tanya Sadler

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as a member of the Soaring Heights PK-8 team!

I am a deeply passionate educator with more than twenty five years of experience in developing relationships based and innovative learning opportunities that foster academic, physical, and social emotional skills. I am committed to advocating for and supporting all students to meet or exceed expected outcomes.

In 1995, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with teaching licensure in Elementary Education and Special Education at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. I began my teaching career in a 5th/6th grade self-contained special education classroom with students who had a wide variety of learning needs. My second year, I moved to supporting students with special needs at the middle school level. I also completed my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with specialization in Reading in 1998. My husband and I then ventured west, where I taught literacy and 2nd grade at Emerald Elementary, in Boulder Valley Schools, before moving to St. Vrain Valley Schools. I have been with St. Vrain for twenty years and have had amazing experiences working as a classroom teacher in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 at Northridge, Fall River, and Mountain View. In 2007, I completed my Principal’s License through Colorado State University. In addition to classroom teaching, I have worked as a building coach for teachers, a coach through the St. Vrain Valley Office of Professional Development, and as a Dean of Students at Centennial Elementary. The depth and breadth of these experiences brought me back to where my greatest passion lies… working with learners and their families via classroom experiences. Whether we are learning together in person, online, hybrid, or otherwise, I am here to provide a caring, supportive, well rounded, individualized, innovative, standards based experience where kids have fun and enjoy the variety of opportunities designed to facilitate optimal learning and development.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with suggestions, comments, or if you need assistance.

I look forward to partnering with you as we support your learner!
